Understanding grades and transcripts
The purpose of this meeting was to show the parents how to understand future students grades' transcripts. Parents learned how the students' academic record can affect their future options. For example, some universities will base their admission to students with a high grade point average. Throughout this meeting, parents were informed that if a student didn't have an adequate grade point average, it will be hard for that student to go straight to a four year university. Once parents were informed, they can follow the academic record of their children, and motivate them to keep up the good grades. This meeting was held Wednesday March third 1999.
